Description

This mala was strung as inspired by Calista’s personal experiences in the Himalayan mountains and meditation caves in Ladakh. Indian 5-mukhi rudraksha beads serve as counters while the Buddha head resting on the nape of the neck serve as a humble reminder for the Great Teachers of our lives – very often, the remembrance that we already ARE, Enlightened.

What are Mala Beads?

Mala beads were traditionally created to be used as a tool in meditation. However, mala beads are also beautiful mediums to set intentions, manifest, and generally feel good. You do not always have to meditate on the beads, although that’s what they are made for in a practical sense.

Why 108?

There are many interpretations for the significance of 108. However, the explanations we like to adopt is in relation to our chakras. It has been said there there are 108 energy lines connecting to the heart, with one of them believed to be the path to self realization.

Lapis Lazuli – Meaning & Uses

Wisdom ~ Truth ~ Harmony ~ Relationships

Lapis Lazuli is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth. It is also the symbol of royalty and honor, gods and power, spirit and vision.  As the colour of the Medicine Buddha, Lapis Lazuli also carries the vibrational frequencies of the Medicine Buddha’s healing powers and is thus an excellent stone for healing at all levels – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and etheric.

Lapis Lazuli is a powerful crystal for activating the higher mind and enhancing intellectual ability. It stimulates the desire for knowledge, truth and understanding, and aids the process of learning. It is excellent for enhancing memory.

A stone of truth, Lapis encourages honesty of the spirit, and in the spoken and written word. Wear it for all forms of deep communication. It is also a stone of friendship and brings harmony in relationships.

Lapis is an excellent stone for executives, journalists, and psychologists, stimulating wisdom and good judgment in the practical world. It aids intellectual analysis in archeologists and historians, problem solving for lawyers, and creates new ideas for inventors and writers. In the workplace, it attracts promotion, success and lasting recognition in your field.

*NOTE: Our Lapis Lazuli beads are NOT dyed nor spray painted.

All mala beads were handmade and strung personally by Calista. Mantras and shamanic songs were sing during and after the process of stringing them. All beads are cleanses with white sage and blessed with Light in honour of the Highest Good of All.

Despite the purity of the mala beads, we recommend taking time to purify and cleanse them with white sage or running water to set your own personal intentions and energy.
